If you are in the market for a new kitchen faucet, you may want to consider the new Touch2O® Faucet from Delta.
With Touch2O® Technology it doesn’t matter if you have your hands full or messy fingers, tap anywhere on the spout or handle and the water is running.
The tap technology lets you turn the faucet on and off with just a touch — anywhere on the faucet’s body or handle. It's also cleaner and the potential for cross-contamination is reduced.
Touch2O® Technology can also help you conserve water. As you prepare food or wash up in the sink, just tap the faucet to keep water from running when you don’t need it. Then just touch it again to start the water flowing.
The Stainless Steel version sells from about $348 to $365 at any of the usual online stores (FaucetDirect.com, Amazon.com). It is not overly complicated to install and the sensors run on a battery pack – but you will need proximity to an electrical outlet (ie. a dishwasher, a disposal or a standard outlet) in order to ground the wiring.
I suspect this is the future direction of kitchen faucets – plan on seeing more of these hit the market as others try to cash in on the growing demand for hands-free living.
